The Gatehouse® Volunteers
Volunteers are the cornerstone of The Gatehouse®.
Hundreds of volunteers have generously given their time, energy and skills towards helping us reach out to children and adults whose lives have been affected by childhood abuse. Our volunteer opportunities are diverse and appeal to many different kinds of people. If it wasn't for the support we receive from our volunteers, we couldn't do the work we do.
There are many exciting, challenging and rewarding opportunities to volunteers in support of The Gatehouse® and its programs. Here is a brief description of the positions we have to offer:
- Administrative Support - general office work.
- The Gatehouse® Adult Mentoring Program - building a positive one-to-one friendship with a participant.
- Cookie Club - provide baked cookies & sweets on a bi-weekly basis for our participants.
- Community Outreach - public outreach at various community events through public speaking or booth representation.
- Event Photographer - attend and record Gatehouse special events through photography or video.
- Media Support - solicit media contacts.
