The Gatehouse® has grown from a small community project into a national voice on the issue of child abuse.  Here are some of our accomplishments over the years:

• December 1997 to June 1998 – in just six months and with the support of community businesses and individuals, The Gatehouse completed a $300,000 renovation to an abandoned century-old house for just $30,000
   
• Named Best Practice Site for Victim Services, by the Ministry of Attorney General in 2000
   
• Honoured with The Community Service Award by the Etobicoke Chamber of Commerce in 2001
   
• Selected as one of the four beneficiaries in the Cadillac Fairview’s Tree of Dreams Charity Fundraising Event
   
• Received the Mayor’s Community Safety Award in 2003
   
• Received the Ruth Atkinson Hindmarsh Award in 2003
